Friday Art Break

I don't know about anyone else - but I personally need a little Friday morning pick-me-up. Here are some drool-worthy pieces of art from Etsy. Enjoy!

Sustainable fabric clothing line with style

I was hugging a friend before yoga the other day and was immediately struck by how luxurious and soft her sweater wrap was. It felt like butter underneath my fingertips and the fabric had a wonderful drape to it.

She directed me to TranquiliT eco lux lifestyle wear. Made from sustainable rayon fabric derived from organic bamboo, the Washington D.C. line is designed with a focus on simplicity and versatility. Each garment can be worn in a variety of ways, which is great for people like me who like to travel light and combine staple wardrobe pieces for a variety of looks.

I am in love with this hooded cardishawl – it looks so cozy for the cool autumn nights ahead:

Amelie Poulain

My favorite film is 2001's Amelie. Set in Paris's enchanting Montmartre district, the movie is a visual treat and a passport to what must surely be the most beautiful city in the world.

The cinematography is so sensual and creative it gives viewers a chance to view the world through rose-tinted glasses  - if only for a couple of hours. At times laugh out loud funny, and other times poignant and deeply touching, this film is nothing short of inspiring.

Amelie reminds us that magic is all around us, if only we know where to look.
