Relationships are like M.C. Escher drawings

I have hit a fairly sizeable speed bump in my relationship with the Performance Clog. Not a whole lot more needs to be shared in this venue about that – but suffice to say when “reality” crashes the “honeymoon”  - well, it ain’t all that fun.

I have been reflecting on how I can show up differently in the relationship in order to get a better outcome. If you don’t like your results, change your approach, right?

To that end, it strikes me that a relationship is much like an M.C. Escher drawing. There are so many things that you can choose to focus on, and what you decide to see will largely determine your experience. I can choose to see the beauty in my situation, or I can choose to see its flaws. But the total picture never changes  - only my perception of the picture does.

Check out these images from the Dutch graphic artist – what do you see?
